Green Optical Brightener Powder

Green Optical Brightener Powder is a specialized fluorescent whitening agent (FWA) designed to impart a brightening effect with a subtle greenish undertone. It works by absorbing ultraviolet (UV) light and re-emitting it in the visible spectrum, producing a fluorescent glow that enhances the perceived whiteness and brightness of materials. This powder is often based on benzoxazole or stilbene derivatives, and is commonly used in plastics, synthetic fibers, coatings, detergents, and inks. It exhibits excellent thermal stability, typically withstanding processing temperatures up to 280–300°C, making it suitable for use in PVC, PET, PP, PE, and ABS polymers. The compound is generally insoluble in water, but disperses well in organic media and polymer melts. Its molar mass varies by formulation, often ranging from 350–600 g/mol, and is typically dosed at low concentrations (0.01% to 0.1%) for optimal effect without altering the base material properties. The green fluorescence adds brilliance to dull or yellow-tinted substrates, improving visual appeal in finished goods.
