Yellow Optical Brightener Powder

Yellow Optical Brightener Powder is a fluorescent whitening agent (FWA) formulated to enhance the brightness and whiteness of materials by absorbing invisible ultraviolet light and re-emitting it as visible blue or violet light. This yellow-toned brightener is typically based on stilbene or coumarin derivatives, and is used widely in plastics, detergents, coatings, paper, and textiles. It is highly effective in neutralizing yellow or dull tones in polymer substrates, delivering a visually whiter and cleaner appearance. The powder is insoluble in water but compatible with most thermoplastic resins such as PVC, PS, ABS, PET, and polyolefins. It is thermally stable up to 250–300°C, making it suitable for extrusion and injection molding. The product has a molecular weight range of 400–600 g/mol depending on the specific compound, and is typically used in concentrations between 0.01% to 0.1% in end applications.
